Songs for the First Grade Music Performance

The first grade students have been working very hard on the music for the performance. Here are a few  songs that we have recently addedsome of the songs that we will be performing.  I will be adding more songs in the very near future!  All students have been asked to practice their music at home.  They already know the melodies of each song.  Thank you for your help!

Take Me Out to the Farm

Take me out to the Farm, Dad
Take me there…right now
Throw me some horses and chickens too
I can’t wait to hear the cows, moo
For there are chicks, chicks, chicks in the barnyard
If they don't lay it’s a shame
For, its one two three eggs and more
At the old barnyard

Billy the Bull

Billy the bull has two horns. . .Billy the bull has two horns
Billy the bull has two horns...so charge Billy charge. . .boom, boom, boom
Billy the bull has one horn. . .Billy the bull has one horn
Billy the bull has one horn...so charge Billy charge…boom, boom, boom
Billy the bull has no horns. . . Billy the bull has no horns
Billy the bull has no horns…so charge Billy charge…boom, boom, boom
Billy the bull is a cow…Billy the bull is a cow
Billy the bull is a cow… so moo Billy Moo…boom, boom, boom

Girls:  Can you tell me how?  Boys:  Yes Ma’am

Hot Potato

One Potato, Two Potato, Three Potato, Four
Five Potato, Six Potato, Seven Potato, More!
Eight Potato, Seven Potato, Six Potato, Five
Four Potato, Three Potato, Two Potato, My, Oh My!
HOT POTATOOOOOOOO!

Goodbye Song

Goodbye, Goodbye, to you and all our friends!
Goodbye, Goodbye, Our time’s come to an end!
Goodbye, Goodbye, for just a while and then,
Another day we’ll meet again!
GOODBYE!

Silly Chicken

Oh, I had a silly chicken, and he wouldn’t lay an egg
So I poured hot water up and down his leg
And he giggled and he giggled and he giggled all the day
And my poor little chicken laid a hardboiled egg!

Oh, I had a silly chicken, he went scratching in the dirt
And he scratched so had that his feet, they hurt
So he bandaged them way up, from his thigh bone to his toe
And you should have seen my chicken do the Do-Si-Do!

Oh, I had a silly chicken, and he wouldn’t lay an egg
So I poured hot water up and down his leg
And he sang a silly song, which turned out to be a ballad
And my chicken laid a sandwich full of egg and tuna salad!
