What's going on in class?

Hartville kindergarten parents- your child will be coming home with a paper we did in music class. We listened to Rimsky Korsakov's Flight of the Bumblebee and drew lines that reminded us of what we heard. We then tied in art class, talking about the primary colors we colored in the lines with. Enjoy!

First grade is learning about the difference of speaking and singing voices and concentrating on learning rhythms too.

Second grade is learning a fun chant from Central America about chocolate and making instruments to perform with it. We're focusing on steady beat vs. rhythm of the words.

Third grade is learning This Land is Your Land by Woody Guthrie along with focusing on ostinatos.

Fourth grade is learning folk songs and notating their own rhythm patterns.
