Dale W. Knowles

A total commitment to a volunteer organization that produced extraordinary results is the lead reason Dale Knowles was inducted into the Lake Wall of Fame.
A 1931 graduate of Hartville High School Dale developed a fire department and emergency response service while raising a family and working full time.
Dale was nominated by 1992 Wall of Fame inductee Paul Kamerer.

Lt. Col. Kathryn Frances Kegg Nance

Being the first woman to enter Kent State ROTC program is what sparked Kathryn’s induction. She entered the program during campus riots and anti-military sentiment. In addition she experienced a successful military career in a time when few women entered the military.
A 1969 graduate of Lake High School Kathryn raised a family and rose to a level of excellence as an Air Force officer.
Kathryn was nominated by Mrs. Ellen Kegg.
