Look Up in the Sky It’s a Bird, It’s a Plain, No It’s a Blue Streak!
                                                By:Alecia Henthorn
Born and raised all of her life in Ohio, Avery Graber is a Blue streak all around. She has gone to Lake Local all of her years in school and has been cheering for the Blue Streaks for eleven years.
"The happiest moment of my life was junior year football season! We played hard and even got to go to Columbus for a game! I am so proud to have been cheering for them that night," she explained.Graduating this year, Avery would like to attend Akron University.
Undecided on what she wants to carry out for a career; she has a few ideas in mind. One of these ideas is being a flight attendant."I absolutely love flying so much! It’s so fun to me, and I think I would really love to have a job in the airline business one day.
Avery’s dream job would be helping kids less fortunate than others. "I have always loved babysitting and playing with the kids at family events! Little kids just look up to me, and I really click with them," she said with a smile on hJouranlism picture.jpger face.
Avery’s hero is her mom. Whenever she feels like she has nowhere else to turn she knows that she can always find comfort in her mom. "I have looked up to her all my life. She supports every decision I make, good or bad, and she has been here with me through all of the ups and downs."
One thing that Avery is very proud of is of how far she made it today. "I am most proud of learning from my mistakes. If I wouldn’t have made the decisions I have made, I probably wouldn’t be where I am today."
We all need people here to back us up and give us support in our lives, and for Avery it is her friends and family. "They have all been here for me through everything, and they are always pushing me to make the right decision."
Avery is also a journalist for the school newspaper, The Blueprint. "I wanted to join the newspaper team because I like to write and I also wanted to expand my writing abilities."
One of Avery’s favorite quotes is, "I've learned that things change, people change, and it doesn't mean you forget the past or try to cover it up. It simply means that you move on and treasure the memories. Letting go doesn't mean giving up... it means accepting that some things weren't meant to be." Avery had found this quote on the internet and soon fell in love with it.
