The Lake boys Basketball team improved to 8-0 before the Holiday break by defeating Perry and St. Thomas Aquinas on Dec.21st and 22nd. The Blue Streaks fell behind early against the Perry Panthers 20-4 but came back with a tremendous amount of passion and energy to win an overtime thriller 66-64 at Perry. Mitchell Spotleson led the way with 22 points, Chaese Vaudrin completed 11 assist, and 6th man John Flower hit the game tying "3" with 30 seconds left in regulation! LAKE 76, ST. THOMAS AQUINAS 63 Visiting Lake jumped out to a 21-5 lead after the first quarter and never looked back as the Blue Streaks moved to 8-0 on the season.

Mitchell Spotleson led the way for Lake with 18 points. Chaese Vaudrin had 13 points for the Blue Streaks, while Alex Belinsky, Blake Sitzlar and Jake McBride added 10 apiece.Anthony Snyder hit four 3-pointers and had a game-high 24 points for Aquinas. Austin Hill scored 15 points for the Knights, while Sam Pusateri contributed 11.
