It’s a summer performing arts camp offered by the Lake Local Schools Drama Club.
Who’s it for?
Any student entering grades 7 through graduating high school.
What’re you going to do?
This year we will be producing The Music Man, Jr., a wonderful hour-long version of the classic American musical! In addition, we'll feature the older campers in a mini-musical review for a double-billing of entertainment!
Is that all?
Excluding the first and last week, on Wednesdays we’re offering workshops to sharpen the campers' skills in many aspects of the performing arts. The workshops are designed to give an in-depth look at some aspect of the performing arts. We’ve scheduled workshops on singing, dancing, audition technique, and more. The final week will include tech rehearsals, dress rehearsals, and performances.
What's new this year?
We are making slight changes to the days and times. Camp will now be Monday through Thursday (no Fridays), 1:00-5:00pm (one more hour each day). We will be adding a slight increase to camp fees for the first time. Registration will go up by only $10, and will include the cost of your child's camp t-shirt.
When’s this happening?
PASS Camp is a 6-week camp starting on July 6th. It runs Monday through Thursday from 1 to 5pm. Performances are August 13th and 14th. Check out the PASS calendar.
That’s a lot! Is there time to go on vacation?
It normally takes 6 weeks to put on a musical. We’ve purposely allowed about a month to pass from the end of the school year to the beginning of camp. Before the camp session is a great time to schedule your vacation. A reason we've done away with Fridays is to ensure camp does not conflict with your short weekend trips. If your child will be absent for more than a week, consider whether s/he will get the most out of the camp.
How much does it cost?
The entire 6-week PASS camp is $95 through May 1st, and $110 through June 1st. After the June 1st registration cutoff, contact camp director, Michael Gatto, for registration availability- contact info and family discount information is on our FAQ page. Our fees are low thanks to private donors and because we have written grants to cover most of the expenses. A camp t-shirt is included in the camp cost.
Where do I sign up?
I’m not sure. Where can I get more info?
